We really should have our own reality show...

Let’s see…since I last posted there has been only one visit to the dog park, which I am pretty sure is because of one know-it-all owner that irritated me, nevermind that all his stories somehow revolved around other dogs being aggressive towards his. Noone else seems to have had a problem with the dogs he has, so I wonder who is really to blame? His ugly schnauzer gets my vote. It’s pretty sad when my precious babies with a combined weight less than 30 pounds can hold their own and play nicely with all the big dogs. Actually, it’s pretty awesome! My furbabies rock! Oh yeah, he also got peeved because we had Sydney in the enclosure with us because the park was EMPTY when we got there. Another couple came with their lab and didn’t bother with her at all but as soon as the jackass got there (not knowing he was a jackass at the time) Doug decided to leave with her. Just about the time Doug was at the fence with the stroller, said jackass approaches and starts berating me and spouting off park rules, oblivious to the fact that it was EMPTY when we got there and that’s the ONLY reason we brought her in and he didn’t seem to care that she was already outside of the gate at this point! UGH! I’m getting all worked up again just thinking about his jackassery. Oh yeah, jackass and all it’s derivatives are my new favorite word. Anyway.

There always seems to be drama in our house. Last week Doug went to the doctor because he wasn’t feeling well. He was given medicine to take for allergies and a cold, which he proceeded to leave at work so he was miserable ALL weekend. Well, Monday afternoon he picked me up at the park and ride and we went to pick up Sydney. He told me he was happy I was there to get her. I asked why. He simply pointed to his eye and said that’s why. Yep. Pinkeye! And he wasn’t happy about it. We were riding down the road when he also told me that one of the pills he’s taking got jammed in his throat, the same pills the doctor warned him about that can cause numbness, choking, etc., if broken. He somewhat panicked. After we got Sydney, he went to the pharmacy to get some eye drops while Sydney and I went home. He was also convinced his throat was closing up because of the pills and the pharmacist told him to go to the ER. He did. They said he was fine and thought he was having a panic attack. Which is funny. All I could think about the whole time (other than I really hope he’s ok) was the Seinfeld episode where George thinks he’s having a heart attack because he watched the special on television. Lesson learned: don’t tell Doug the side effects of medicine, just take pill x three times a day with a glass of water. Don’t chew. Don’t ask questions.

So now that I have filled you in on our drama-filled week, enjoy these pictures!

Here’s Sydney all kicked back enjoying the dog park.

I love it when she laughs so hard she gets all squinty-eyed!

She thought she’d go for a ride on Remi. Much to our surprise, he didn’t run!

Hmm. What do we have here?

Why yes, it is apple juice.

BTW, has anyone else noticed that she favors her left hand??? Will she be a lefty like Mommy?

Promise you won’t drop me Daddy!

I’m not too sure what y’all put me in here, but I like it!

Again with the left hand!!!

“I said consummate v’s!” (since I can't access the actual homestarrunner.com site here at work - I resort to visiting youtube)

Mommy will never find my broccoli in here!

Sydney giving Mommy her birthday card last night, but not before gnawing the corners of the envelope.

Mommy’s birthday loot! Just look at that cake…it was HEAVENLY! DIVINE! And to keep with Seinfeld references, SPECTACULAR! And check out the gift bag. Guess How Much I Love You...that's the book I read Sydney every night before she goes to bed. Perfect :)

I also got this beautiful engraved locket.

Y'all are pretty special to me too!
