Milestone Sunday

This weekend marked a very special day. I heard Sydney stirring around Sunday morning so I went to get her bottle ready. When I got back to her room she was lying on her stomach talking to herself. I use the term talking very loosely. Squealing would really be more appropriate. Cute nonetheless. Well, I decided to stand back and watch her squirm around and entertain herself since she wasn’t protesting being on her stomach. Then it happened. She rolled over from front to back without sounding like she was a contestant in the world strongman competition! I am hoping this means no more getting up in the middle of the night when she’s rolled on to her stomach and can’t get herself back over. Because how will she play with her feet if she’s on her stomach, which she has fallen in love with doing. Then I started thinking about how nice it is to be needed and that I don’t actually mind losing out on sleep to do whatever she needs or wants. I mean, that is my job as Momma after all. My other job as Momma, to laugh when Remi tries to hide from the thunder…

...and then let him sleep on my pillow.
