Now, that's not to say it's always used on the sidewalk or driveway, but there's a love for it nonetheless. Lately, Sydney has been asking for me to draw her hopscotch when we're outside. And who am I to say no to my sweet baby girl?

A hop, skip, and a jump...
In case you don't know, there's a fondness of sidewalk chalk in our household. Don't believe me? Just look at that happy face!

More cupcakes!
Red velvet, cream cheese icing, and the cutest little red sprinkles! You just can't say no to all that sugary goodness! Everybody at work seems to like them. I just hope Ollie, my afternoon bus driver, likes them too, since I made them for his birthday. Maybe I'll get a free bus ride if he does...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
So Bakerella is after my heart. Check out her recipe for green velvet cupcakes, which is pretty much her recipe for red velvet cake, but using only 1 cup of oil instead of 1 1/2 cups, and 1 oz of green food coloring instead of 2 oz of red. And I opted for cream cheese icing over cooked icing.

Another To Do List
Because I know you just love to know what's on my plate for the day. Don't worry. Today's list is super short :)
1. Take a Motrin in hopes that the aftermath of some serious cardio this weekend will subside.
2. Scour the internet for a supercute trench. What are the odds that Gap restocked the green one I heart in my size???
3. Perhaps I'll get some work done in between :)
Until next time. Au revoir!

It's Official...
I have lost my mind. Yep. I watched it walk right out the door yesterday morning and haven't seen it since. I'm pretty sure I know why it ran away screaming like it did and I don't blame it.
I signed up to run a half marathon in June. In June, as in 3 months from now June and oh holy crap how am I going to be able to run 13.1 miles by then?! Yep. I'm pretty sure I have lost my mind. If you happen to see it, please tell it that I am so sorry and that it will be ok. That together, we can totally do this thing. I mean, it could possibly even be fun. We'll have a few hours to ourselves to catch up on life, books, movies, whatever we dare to think about really. We'll enjoy the beauty that is Annapolis. We'll enjoy the beauty of setting our sights on the finish line and crossing it on two feet. We can totally do this thing!
Yeah. Please tell my mind that if you see it. Thanks.

More ramblings
It's day 2 of Experimental Design for Surveys and I am losing the battle to stay conscious, not that our instructor isn't entertaining. He is, believe it or not. I mean he referred to himself as a honky without batting an eyelash and makes seriously off the wall jokes throughout his lecture. I'm cool with that. I'm also just incredibly tired, despite getting to sleep in until 5:45 this morning. What a blessing that was getting 2 extra hours of sleep! And being there when Sydney woke up, opening her door holding 3 of her blankets and 2 stuffed animals and trying unsuccessfully to brush her messy hair out of her face with such a hand full of stuff. Priceless. I wish I could be there evey morning when she wakes up. Such a blessing and it's when she's at her sweetest and snuggliest, at least until I try to apply neosporin and a Dora bandaid to her toe after she did who knows what with the one we fought to get on her toe last night. Good times!
Oh yay! 20 minutes until lunch. What to do for the next 20 minutes...hmmm, play kaglom? Check out facebook? Learn something more about construct validity? Ponder going back to school? Ponder opportunities that would let me work from home? Check the weather channel app to see if it's snowing yet? Pray it's not snowing yet and won't start snowing until after I get home tonight? Stop rambling? Yeah, I'll go with that one. Laters :)
