$6.50 and all I got was a sweet morning of bouncing and a toddler ready for a nap. Best. Deal. Ever!

If you've never been to a bounce house, I highly recommend letting your fingers do the walking through the yellow pages and find one to visit. Soon.

It was pretty awesome. And bouncy.



They had inflatable seesaws.



That are not capable of supporting grown Uncle Timmys. Or Mommys. Thankfully no one was snapping pictures when I fell off!



They had a giant barbell.



And slides.



So that's where Sydney inherited her slide technique, from Daddy.



And Uncle Timmy. Figures.



Uncle Timmy showed Sydney how to belly crawl.



And displayed his mad handstand skills.



The best part about the bounce house? It was only $6.50 for Sydney to get in and no charge for adults. They might have reconsidered after we left though. We'll definitely be going back next time we are in PA!

Some cuteness to tide you over until I stop being lazy and upload more pics from my camera. We went to visit Doug's family in PA this weekend. We also got a chance to hang out with Emily and Francis. There was much bouncing involved. Side note - I think the adults had more fun there than the kids! Evidence of that coming soon.

I learned a very important lesson after letting her indulge. Next time she gets any flavor that is NOT BLUE! This picture is not very clear (blame the BB) so trust me when I say she had a blue tongue, cheeks, chin, fingers, everything! She could have been a stunt double for Violet Beauregard!

And just in case you haven't met him, this is Uncle Timmy. Sydney adores him. I think she adores saying his name even more. All weekend and most of the 4 hours in the car on the way home, all we heard was "Uncle Timmy." Wash. Rinse. Repeat. And Repeat some more. Not that there's anything wrong with that :)

Deep thoughts

I wonder what she's thinking about, assuming she's thinking at all. This is also her "Stinky" pose.



Maybe how she can possibly horde more sidewalk chalk? Or if she should just tell mommy to buy her more colorful shirts so she won't have to decorate them herself?



Or maybe she's just thankful we have a big driveway to draw on. I know I am :)

Randomness item #1:

I have the sweetest daughter in the world. I was sitting outside in the driveway yesterday watching her "draw" with sidewalk chalk. She stands up, looks at me, runs over and says "Hi" while laying her head on my arm and giving me a hug. Then she said "luwoo", which is Sydney-ese for I love you. I melted :)

Randomness item #2:

I am shamelessy addicted to young adult vampire fiction. Yes, this includes the Twilight series, House of Night series, and now the Vampire Academy series. I just bought the 4th book yesterday at lunch and am loving it, but why did Richelle Mead have to rip my heart out in book 3??? So not fair.

Randomness item #3:

I have grown to love my body post baby. Yes, even the stretch marks. I wear them with a certain badge of honor. OK, maybe I don't love so much the wider feet. I had a hard enough time finding shoes to fit before. But that's why Zappos has free return shipping, right?

Randomness item #4:

I am so thrilled to have found a new favorite tv show, GLEE. There's singing, dancing, a snarky and slightly insane cheerleading coach, a germophobe guidance couselor, a super cute Spanish teacher/Glee club sponsor, and most important of all, SPY DADDY! I hope his role is recurring because I heart Victor Garber :) If you've missed any of the episodes, don't worry. You can watch all of them online here.

Here's a random question for y'all...how is it possible to love every last song on my ipod more than life itself, yet when it's in shuffle mode I am not in the mood for half that songs that queue up? Truly one of life's greatest mysteries. In the last 5 minutes, I've passed on Sting, Hendrix, Andre 3000, Taylor Swift, Rush, and Sugarland before finally settling on Alanis Morissette. Anyway.

Fortunately, there was no rain in the forecast when we went for our bike ride the other weekend. Yes, that would be the same bike ride I managed to fudge my shoulder good.



Sydney enjoyed the scenery and fruit snacks from our newly acquired bike trailer. We have the G family to thank, most especially Kalia for not liking to ride in it herself :)



She even got to go exploring on our breaks...the girl loves a good rock. And bugs. Although she is coming around to Mommy's point of view and calls them yucky now :)



Swampy scenery = getting divebombed by lots of yucky bugs along the way! Next time I go riding, I should wear a motorcycle helmet! In all fairness, there were lots of pretty butterflies that flew along with us :)



Tonight is Sydney's second tumbling class. She was a little hesitant last week, what with the bouncy floor and all.



Her curiosity got the best of her though, or was it the blocks they were supposed to step over, which she totally swiped off the beam when it wasn't her turn!

Yes, I am THAT mom. You know, the one with the camera permanently attached to her hand? And I'm not ashamed.

I finally got around to transferring pictures off my camera and all I can say is wow, I take a LOT of pictures. Don't believe me? Well, I won't show them all to you here because I'd never see the light of day again waiting for them all to upload. Plus, you'd probably be all like, "Can it with the pictures already! We get it. She's cute. You're proud. Move on!" So I'll stick with just a few of my faves from our adventures over the last few weeks and we'll all be happy :)

Witness the carnage of a simple chocolate ice cream cone...



In the elephant house at the National Zoo. We thought it would be a nice break from the blazing 90+ degree weather where all the other animals were. We thought wrong. As if you couldn't tell by the glistening skin and the flushed cheeks!



You have no idea how tempted we all were to jump in the pool with the hippo. And the tiger. Never mind they could probably swallow us whole!

We had a family picnic at the park. All I have to say is thank goodness for Target and their awesome summer clearance. I only paid $2.50 for that blanket! It's reversible and rolls up into itself :) Of course, I would have paid big bucks to eat off anything but the actual table itself. Why do some people insist on not cleaning up their public messes? Don't even get me started on spending an extra 10 seconds in a bathroom stall to make sure the toilet is properly flushed.
